Ayman

I had a persistent problem that I can't veiw certain
websites. I used other computers to check the internet
connection. It was my computer's problem. I found that
when I ping the website I get the IPv6 address, so I
assumed that IPv6 is causing the problem. Is that true?
As an example of a website: www.aljazeera.net
the ping results are:
Pinging wa9g1.services.icdsatt.net
[c78:913:6e00:3000:500:500:1:c00] with 32 byt
es of data:
Destination protocol unreachable.
............
Ping statistics for c78:913:6e00:3000:500:500:1:c00:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),
The real ip for the website is: 12.120.9.19
when I ping the ip I get timed out, but basically this
happens with every other computer. The all get timed out
with this ip but when the ping the address they get the
real ip (12.120.9.19) instead. If I type this IP in my
browser I get the message saying: Information alert, 300
multiple choices.......
Is this really due to IPv6? if so do u advise me to
uninstall it? What is it good for anyway?

Hi Ayman,

The problem is actually an issue with the DNS server that hosts the sites
records. IPv6 exposes the issue. Here is an article about it:
