When I add IPP printers, oftentimes, the printer name will come up as
something like "unknown on 192.168.1.100:631", other times - obviously
depending on the response from the IPP server - it may have the printer name
like: "iR5000 on 192.168.1.200:631". Unfortuantley, it does not seem that XP
will allow you to change the name of the printer! I currently have several
"unknowns," and am wondering how to change their name to be something
meaningful?
