I apologize if this topic has been covered here before, perhaps
someone has some experience with this who can offer some info.

I am thinking seriously of getting an IPOD 15GB which is about as
much as I want to spend on something like this. I have a bunch of
chinese CD's that I like to put in there. I would like to know if
the IPOD can support chinese (artists/album titles/track names).
I have been told that this is possible in a Mac environment. I am
running windows XP (english) and getting
a Mac is not an option. No getting XP chinese version is not an
option either. So I would appreciate any suggestion thanks.

You really need to ask this question to someone at Apple customer
support or technical support. However, I doubt an IPOD purchased in
the US or Canada would support Chinese titles and artist names. It
may be possible to perhaps transliterate them to English but that's a
question better asked of the folks who know.

thank you for your opinion. But chinese is listed as a supported
language in the Apple web site for IPOD, presumably for the operating
system, but hopefully for the stored data as well. Since IPOD has
been windows compatible for a little while now, I thought that
someone must be using it with windows and perhaps can offer some first
hand tips.
