iPod Mini Installation Failing -- No device driver found

I am attempting to install a new Apple iPod mini to a Windows 2000
Professional PC with USB connection.

If I connect the iPod Mini, Windows detects the "iPod Mini". However,
Windows is then unable to find a suitable device driver. I have pointed
it to search in the */inf directories for the INF file but it is
unsuccessful.

Any suggestions, and/or pointers to where I can get the iPod Mini
device driver for Windows 2000?

I have checked the Apple Support pages and they are not useful. There
is some discussion about solving this problem by browsing Windows to
different INF locations in the Windows directory tree, but this did not
fix the problem.

I assume I need an INF and device driver for the Ipod Mini, but I am
not sure where I can get it from! I think it comes as part of later
(Windows XP) installations.

Make sure it is setup for Windows and not Apple had the same issue and
that was the problem
