Heyy, is there any way to transfer songs from your Ipod to Itunes? My
borther deleted everything off my computer so I lost my Itunes library but I
still have it all on my Ipod. Is there any way I can get those songs bac
onto Itunes so I don't have to hook up my Ipod each time I wanna listen?
Thx

Yes .... but its long and painful.

Plug your iPod into your PC via the iPod to PC USB cable. It will be
recognised as a disk Drive.

Open up Windows Explorer. In my set up I find mu iPod as the "I" drive. Then
in Windows Explorer : Tools > Folder Options > View > in Hidden Folders and
Files make sure the option "Show Hidden Files and Folders" is checked >
Apply > OK and close.

Then : Double click on your iPod reference ("I" drive in my case) > iPod
Control > Music > you'll see a list of what are now unhidden folders. Each
contains tracks. They will not be named so again, in Windows Explorer you
need to show the Tags of your mp3's. In the right hand window right click on
the column titles and and check Titles and Authors. That should show the
titles oand artists named withing the mp3's as Tags. Then COPY the mp3's you
want on to your hard disk. You'll have to rename them after, but the tags
will stay intact.

If you need any further clarification re-post.

Cheers,
Jerry
