Hello,
We're in the process of migrating from an Exchange 5.5
single server site to an Exchange 2000 site. We will
perform an in-place upgrade. On our test-lan we've done
this and encountered the following problem:
All kinds of documents are dumped on a set of public
folders, one per division. Rules on these public folders
will forward the documents to other public folders.
The documents are most of the time of the type
IPM.Document.InternetShortcut. The continaing url points
to the real document. This worked fine in 5.5. The
forwarded file remained IPM.Document.InternetShortcut.
After the migration to E2K the behaviour has changed. All
forwarded documents (by folder rules) are suddenly of the
IPM.Note type.
As we use rules currently we have no option to change to
a Copy or Move, which does not change the IPM type. What
other options do we have to avoid this change of IPM
type???
Windows 2000 SP3
Exchange 2000 SP3 including September 2003 Rollup
