Does anyone know how to overcome a recent problem with synchronsation of
Microsoft Outlook and iPhones, which prevents emails being sent when away
from a wireless home network? I have had my iPhone for almost 16 months now
without any problems sending emails from home and out on my travels but just
recently having re-installed Microsoft Office I cannot send emails when I'm
not in doors. I don't understand what is occurring since the minute I walk
through the door I can send emails with out problem. I'm not sure if this is
some way also connected to the fact that I have recently switched from
network cables in the home to a wireless router?

It sounds like the iphone is set to only use the wifi, not the cellular
network. Or the cell network in your area is downgraded and data is not
working properly, so they can't be sent.

As mentioned above, when you are wireless, the phone is communicating
directly with the email server, Outlook is not in the loop, so the
Office re-install did not cause this. When you are outdoors, can you
surf the internet? That would be a test of whether the cellular network
was working or not.
