As is always the case before the launch of a new Apple product, the company is keeping their cards very close to their chest. That does nothing to stop the rumour-mills churning out speculation, so we thought it would be a good idea to gather in a summary of some of the main rumours here:
Here are some rumour round-ups with further detail about the potential processor, network and iOS:

So what do you think? Will you be getting one as soon as they are (eventually) released?
- The release date will be 15 October 2011 - according to Stéphane Richard, CEO of France Telecom (the parent company of Orange)
- The design will be a total rethink, and it has been suggested it will have a curved metal back, a larger screen, and generally thinner than its predecessor.
- It will be available in both black and white, and 16GB and 32GB capacities. Thank you to Vodaphone for inadvertantly putting that on your website...
- The new iPhone will boast an 8MP camera made by Sony
- ...or alternatively the camera will not be upgraded
- It will be identical to the iPhone 4, fuelling speculation that it will not be an iPhone 5 after all but a iPhone 4S instead
