I used to be able to use ipconfig /release then /renew but it doesn't work
like it used to or I'm missing something. I went on a trip this weekend and
the hotel had Wifi so I logged on no problem the first time I just had to
open IE and accept the terms that worked but then I went out for a while and
the laptop went into hibernation and when I tried to use the internet it
said that my IP address was interfering with someone else's so I tried
several things even used help to reset the IP address and could never
connect again?
How do you release the IP address so you can get a new one from the Wifi
provider in Vista?
Then when I got home I had to enter the WEP numbers again even though I had
saved it and checked all the boxes to retain the settings even if I'm not on
this connection.
Thanks for any help, Rich
