Hello NG,
I got a problem with Ipconfig. When I type it in the cmd-Prompt it shows me
just "Windows-IP-configuration" and jumps back to prompt. When I noticed
first time I started to uninstall a few network-related programs (I remember
Ethereal f.ex.) and also the network monitor-protocol. After rebooting the
problem seemed to be solved, until I noticed recently that it still
persists.
Anyone has an idea what this could be about?
If not: Does anyone know how to completly reinstall the networking drivers
cleanly from scratch (as f.ex after viral damage)?
I'm using Windows XP Media Center Edition, up-to-date.
The only software that could be still messing with the network is VMWare,
with its virtual network drivers and services, but I installed that long
time after the problem showed up.
Thanks
Alex
