what exactly $IPC share...
some times it pop up when i try to access indows 9x OS.

InterProcess Communication. The windows authentification is using this
"share". Users running Windows 9x are forced to logon to their system
with an useraccount and password existing on the machine if they want
to access over the network. Users running NT/2000/XP/2003 will be
prompted for username and password if their account is not valid to
access the network resource.
