Apparently the ip5200 has a 'cartridge empty' warning function, which
results in some kind of klaxon sounding if you don't replace the carts
with new ones.
I'm curious how this works... advocates of Canon in the past have
touted the fact that their low-ink sensors actually detect how much ink
is in the cartridge, as opposed to other manufacturers which just use a
page counter or something equally non-representative.
For refilling these carts, I'm wondering if 'not letting it get that
low' would work: ie. if I were a little more proactive and refilled
before the cart got too low, could I prevent that warning from even
starting up??
Thanks!
