IP4000 without 3ebk cart?

I have stupidly allowed myself to run down the 3ebk and for once i
don't have another cart, plus it is xmas so it'll be a few days before
I get one. How do I ensure that I get black ink on prints without the
3ebk? Is there anything I will be unable to do without it?

C'mon Paul.

It is only the 23rd.

Don't you have a WH Smith near you, or a big Tesco. Our local Tesco is 24
hours and stocks Carts, at a bit hefty price, but if needs must. Even the
local Spar now stocks some Carts.

Just go down to Staples. They are open late. They have it. Office
Depot has it as well as Costco.

Getting out and about is not good for me Roy, but you're right. We
have a Tesco, it's a hike but it's there. Just been looking for online
deliveries from usual places and none til new year.

BTW, it was actually nearer the 24th :O)
 
I'd strongly recommend you NOT run the printer without 3bk ink in it, unless
you want to buy a new head for it.

That said, if you only use photo paper settings, it *shouldn't* need to use
the 3bk.

Thanks Dan. I was concerned about this as it hasn't been at its best
lately (probably near the guarantee being up!)

Have you any idea about printing to discs? Does it use the 3ebk or the
normal black for that?

I couldn't get out today, I just couldn't face the big wide world so I
shoved an order in on a website and hope to get some replacements
within the next week.

ah. it's just if I record over xmas I'll eithe have to put lots of
bits of paper in stuff or risk printing covers.
