That's the odd thing. I can ping it, access it via web browse IP:add
port:8009. Two other PCs, one IP/IPX and the other IP connect to both
servers normally. The two Desktops are attached to the same switch, up one
from the switch the servers are on.
Zone alarm is off, No Firewall other than the router.
The network looks like this:
************ ************ *******************
* Switch#1 *--------------* Switch#2 *-------* Wireless Router *
************ ************ *******************
| | | | |
| |--New Server IP | |--PC#1 IP/IPX |--Laptop IP
|-----Old Server IP/IPX |-----PC#2 IP/IPX
OLD server NEW Server Gateway PC#1 PC#2 Laptop
IP 192.168.0.5 192.168.0.2 192.168.0.1 ...104 ...102 ...115
Subnet |-------------------- 255.255.255.0-----------------------------|
I don't know what else to try. Any thoughts are appreciated

What does this mean? Can you ping by name? by IP address? From a command
prompt;
ipconfig /all
on both a working and non-working pc may reveal something.

I don't know if anyone here can help or if I am asking the right question,
but here it goes.
I have a Novell server in my home office and a couple of PC's with IP/IPX
protocols. The Novell client is the latest with IP/IPX.
I added a new HP Server with IP only and intend to retire the old server
(IP/IPX)
Well, the spare PC and my laptop can both see the new server, but my main
work pc does not. I have removed and re-installed the client w/o
successes.
It has been suggested to me that my IP installation could be faulty.
My question is if I can get to the Internet (TCP/IP) could the IP be
faulty.
And what can it be fixed short of FDISKing the PC?
Thanks for your time and help,
PeterH
