IP configuration

hi, My service provider, provides me with a static IP and
subnetmask which is 255.255.255.255 (?) , the default
gateway is the same static IP that provides me. (ipconfig ) What's
this configuration? can anyone help ( I expect a different
gateway, instead of my static IP and a mask in the form of
something like 255.255.255.0 or somethin else)/
any help much appreciated.

Hi,

It sounds like you are making a PPP connection. If so these parameters are
perfectly valid. Are you having any problems?

I don't nave any problem.
I plan to set up a webserver (IIS) and a DNS server with this machine, do I
need
a router over the ppp connection?
