Hi,
For some years and on various versions of Windows I have been using the GUI
version of IP Config (WNTIPCFG.EXE dated 07/05/2001) as I find it quicker to
use than the DOS version.
I now find that WNTIPCFG.EXE and ipconfig /all are reporting different
answers for the DNS servers when DHCP is in use but the DNS servers are set
manually via TCP/IP Properties.
WNTIPCFG.EXE reports the DNS server set by DHCP, rather than the manually
set DNS servers that ipconfig /all reports. It is ipconfig /all that is
correct, e.g. nslookup uses a DNS server as shown by ipconfig /all.
Does anyone know either how to fix this or an alternative program to use?
