If a domain has an IP scheme of 192.168.1.*, how would it
be possible to integrate an IP address of 192.168.4.*
seamlessly through active directory. Do I have to setup
a separate site or subnet object? Should I change the
gateway from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.4.1?

You can have as many subnets on the network as you want. The reason
for setting up Sites and Subnets is to regulate replication.

Are you changing over to 192.168.4.* or are you adding it to the
existing network? The default gateway you use depends on what route
you need to take to get out of your network or to other subnets. if
a single machine has two network cards, each with a connection to a
different network, then the clients on each network would need a
different gateway to reach the other side.
