We changed the IP address on our DNS/DC servers, now we
get error "duplicate name on the network" during startup.
Also, group policy snap in is unavailable. Everything
else seems to be fine. Please help!

Did you try netdiag /fix?

Crazy - I can't believe that a duplicate name would cause
Group policy to not work - but that was it. There was the
old names in our WINS servers. As soon as I deleted them
from there and rebooted the servers, everything was back
to normal!) Thanks anyhow.

Hi,

We are about to change our IP address ( DNS and DC - all
internal network).
Our DNS is AD integrated, how did you do your change?
where there any problems beside this one?

Thanks,
Eran

We just changed the NIC's ip, rebooted, verified DNS was
updated. Give it some time to update to the other dc's or
manually force replication.
