Hi
Is there any way to find out the IP address of the sites
one browses rather than just the url, eg a numerical
value rather than
www.yahoo.com etc.

One of the easiest ways is to issue a PING command from the DOS prompt. If
you type
ping
www.yahoo.com
you'll see that the IP address is 216.109.117.205
