IP address conflict

I keep getting "IP Address conflict with another system
on network" errors. I have checked all systems on
network, no duplicate IPs, Checked all hardware
addresses, no address matched Hardware address cauing
problem. Any ideas?

same IP address ok,

There is definately another system on your network binding to the same
IP. This can often be caused by having two DHCP Servers on the same
network that are using the same IP range.

Did you move around a network adapter?

Try this, on the machine with the error:

Open a DOS Command Windows (CMD) and type: Ipconfig
/release (???)

and then reboot.
Windows XP should re-detect the DHCP server and get an unique IP address.

The only thing is, make sure you
select Use the following IP address.
(thru the LAN icons, on each PC).

NOT Obtain an IP address automatically.
..
Otherwise they'll generate random IP's

And usually, they'll never see each other
on the network!
