IOMEGA REV SATA PERFORMANCE

I was wondering if anyone has been able to get Iomega Rev drives to
perform even close to their supposed performance?

We have tried USB2 ... it's slow!
We have tried IDE ... 2MB/s
We have tried SATA ... 2.5MB/s

Cutting out the backup software, we just performed disk performance
tests from a variety of utilities. They all pointed out that the
maximum transfer rate on the Iomega REV SATA drive was 4MB/s!!

This is a far far cry from the published figures of between 12.7 and
25.4 MB/s.

I love the concept, but the reality is far from good. I can't find any
reference to independent tests proving Iomega's claims. Does anyone
have any experience that will give me hope that Iomega are not duping
us all???

The performance result is very much tied to the data you are trying to
copy.

The more fragmented your data is the less fast it is going to be. So I
guess they tested it with a single big file, and you must be testing it
with many small-scattered files.
