Hi Drew,

First, scan the system for parasites and remove them. SpyBot S&D searches
your harddisk for Spyware and Adware
http://security.kolla.de/

&

Adaware (similar)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/
(Remember to perform a Webupdate to have the latest definitions installed)

This will remove malware from the PC. Next, reset the Search Engine.

Open Registry Editor (regedit.exe) delete the keys below:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Search Bar
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Search Page
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Start Page
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Default_Page_URL
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Default_Search_URL
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search\SearchAssistant
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search\CustomizeSearch
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Search Bar
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\AutoSearch

Click the Search button in the toolbar > Customize > AutoSearch Settings >
Select a provider from the list.
Open Internet Explorer > Tools > Options > Programs > "Reset Web Settings"

If this does not work, download the fix from Kelly's site:

When entering a web address in the address bar, such as
www.microsoft.com, a search page, http://ehttp.cc/?
www.microsoft.com appears. How do I stop this from
happening?

Thanks,

drew
