I cannot call or invoke any adobe acrobat "PDF pages in a web site that is
indicated by eotehr a pdf file or a "Click here" link. The only way I can
view pdf files is to download them as a target" on my desktop and then call
adobe seperately from the web page. This only works in some instances and not
all.

Launch Internet Explorer and from the Toolbar select:
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced and place a check
next to "Enable third-party browser extensions" and
then click Apply.
