Well ... this newsgroup is for Microsoft Access (a database developement
software), not general computer "access".
While Microsoft Access is a perfect development tools for what you want, I
suggest you probably don't want to re-invent the wheel because it can be
very costly to develop a custom application (I have been working on a single
database application for over 9 months).
A more economical is to buy one of the commercial software packages that
have been developed specifically for your industry. You can ask others in
the same industry or your industry organisation for their recommendations.
