one person in our office uses Office XP and everyone else uses Office 2K.
our mail is POPed (not using exchange server). when the person with XP sends
an invitation, or accepts one, it comes across as an all text email, not a
meeting invitation. both systems have the "use iCalendar" box checked.

any ideas??

It is a bug in Outlook 2000 - have the user of Outlook 2002 uncheck the
reminder before sending.
