Invisible Hover Buttons

I seem to have changed a setting that does not allow for
hover buttons to be visible. Any ideas where to check and
reset?

Hover buttons may be implemented via a variety of technologies -- Java,
Javascript, DHTML, Flash... to name but a few. Please be more specific (e.g.,
provide example URL), so that we can tell what is not working.
