Hi All,

We recently upgraded one of our file servers from Windows
2000 to Windows 2003. We imediately encountered
the "invisible file problem" where some files are visible
on Window workstations but not on the Macs. I blew all
the Mac volumes out and recreated them as per method 7 of
Q147909. This fixed the problem for about a week but now
the problem has now reoccured.

Can anyone make any suggestions before i'm forced to try
to revert back to Windows 2000. Any known issues with
Windows 2003 SFM?

Thanks,

Greg

Greg,
Sorry, not an answer but we are having this problem
intermittently as well. Sometimes we can fix it by copying
or moving files around in tmp folders. Also we've noticed
tthat often, if not everytime, applications, like Quark
Xpress, can see the files even though they do not appear
in the Macs Finder. We experienced the same problem on our
old NT 4.0 server too, again very infrequently.

With sympathy,
Chris
