SAMI

HI there;

My active windows buttons can not be seen on the taskbar.
I also cant move the taskbar evenif it is unlocked. I
have already tried the Kelly's solution and it is not
working. I forgot to mention that there is another user
account on my computer which doesnt have this problem.
Please Help.

Sami.

Dear Kelly and All good guys;

Thank you soo much; you saved my life :).

Your fix worked after following the steps exactly. For
all other pepole; DO NOT reboot or log off until you end
the explorer process and run it again through task
manager :).

Thanks all.

Sami.

Which solution have you tried, Sami? Either way:

Run the edit on line 240:

Programs Aren't Minimized in the Taskbar (Line 240)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Note: Do not reboot or logoff. Once the edit is merged, right click the
Notification Area/Task Manager/Processes. Highlight Explorer.exe, End
Process.

Leave the Task Manager open. Once the process has ended, choose File/New
Task and type in: Explorer.exe.

Kelly,

I had the same problem that Sami had. Your fix works -
thanks - but, is there a way to save the new settings so
when i reboot I don't have to perform the same steps?

Thanks!
Andy

Hi Andy,

You are welcome. Save Settings on Exit is included in the edit. Are you
saying that you are having to re-run the edit each boot?
