Inverted Image when transferring video from Sony HDD camera

I've transferred video from a Sony HDD video camera which shoots in MPEG2
into my computer, but when I try and import the video to Windows Movie it is
inverted (up side down). I can't seem to work out a way to flip it around.
Does anyone have any ideas? Or has heard of this problem?

Video effects, Rotate 180 ?
 
If your actually capturing (through an IEEE connection) does it really
matter if the files are stored on the camera HDD as MPEG2?
I have never had the opportunity to work with a HDD camera so I am curious.
I'm thinking not since the MPEG2 "shouldn't" be working at all in WMM.
