I purchased "PC Doctor on Call" and have run it numerous times. It keeps coming back with the following message-----"Invalid Windows Startup---File was not found on your hard drive---C:/winnt/winlogon.exe" What does this mean?? Is it needed, and if so, how do I go about getting it reloaded on my computer???

Hi, Kevin.

I know nothing about the PC Doctor program, but maybe it just needs to be
configured to fit your setup.

What is the name of your WinXP "boot folder"? Several ways to find out; the
simplest may be to look to see if you have a folder named C:\WinNT - or if
you have C:\Windows.

Do you have a file called C:\Windows\winlogon.exe? Mine is
D:\WinNT\system32\winlogon.exe.

As R.C. pointed out, the WINLOGON.EXE file is a valid file, but by default, it only exists in the Windows\System32 (Winnt\System32) and Windows\System32\dllcache (Winnt\System32\dllcache) folders, as appropriate for your system. The copy in the Windows\Winnt folder was likely a virus that's been removed.

Do a search on www.google.com for "winlogon.exe" symantec and you'll find a number of references to trojans that use Winlogon.exe as the executable file name.
