Hello - I am working with a user of Access 2000. He is
trying to create a form in design view. He wants to add a
command button to the from.

When he tries to that by clicking on the command button
tool and then dropping it where he wants it in the from,
it will come back with an "invalid use of null" error
message.

It works fine for any other user of the machine. A
desinstall and reinstall of Office 2k made no difference.

Thanks for any help

Hi Brian,

Perhaps the database is corrupted. Does this action work in a brand new
database for this same user? If so, try:
- compacting/repairing the database
- using the /decompile switch in the shortcut when opening the mdb
- copying all the objects into a new database
- reverting to the last good backup

Good luck,
