As soon as I turn on my computer I get a message that
says 'invalid system disc. Replace disc then touch any
key'. How can I fix this?

Don't take offense to this, but is there a floppy disk in
your floppy drive. That will definitley cause that
error. If there's not then your harddrive may have
crashed. Fix=buy a new one.

Assuming that you did not leave a floppy disk in the drive,
you'll have to perform some diagnostics to resolve this one.
Here are the first few steps:
1. Get a Win98 boot disk from www.bootdisk.com
2. Boot your PC with this disk.
3. Run fdisk.exe
- What types of partitions do you have?
- Is one of them active?

If you post the results then we can move on.

Susan,
It's just a learning curve. All of us have to go through it. Take the floppy
out before you power up.
