Invalid Page Fault When Opening Excel 2000

Everytime I try to open excel I get the error

Invalid page fault on excel.exe

I tried to uninstall and install it but still the same
error.

This isn't guaranteed to solve the problem, but it's worth a try. Use
Windows Explorer to search all of your hard disks for files with a .XLB
extension. Delete any that you find. Excel uses these files to store
information about its toolbar configuration, but they frequently become
corrupted and cause strange crashes like this. Excel will recreate new
default versions if you delete the old corrupt ones.

Thanks Rob. I tried you suggestion but I cant find any
*.xld files. Do you have any other suggestions?

That's *.XLB files you need to look for. If you have Excel installed then
you definitely have at least one. For Excel 97 it should be called
<username>8.xlb, where <username> is your username and it should be located
in the C:\Windows folder. For Excel 2000 it will be called just Excel.xlb
and for Excel 2002 it will be called Excel10.xlb, and in both cases it's
location will depend on your operating system, but it should be on the C:\
drive.
