I would really appreciate help with the subject problem.
Everytime I attempt to open a ppt file created last year I
get the following message then ppt locks up:

MSGHNDLR caused an invalid page fault in
module OAKMPG2.AX at 0257:1d079ee1.

My machine has Windows 98SE / Office 2000. All Windows
and Office service packages have been installed.

The problem may be linked to one or more video/movie files
that I have linked in the ppt presentation. Until I can
open the presentation I can't troubleshoot and repair.

Any ideas?

FYI, the program launched and ran fine on a friend's
computer that has WindowsXP/OfficeXP. It ran fine on my
old laptop that had Windows 2000 and Office 2000.

Thanks. BK

As a guess it looks like a reference to an MPEG encoder you have
installed...?
Or maybe a DVD player application..?
If so I'd try uninstalling it (as long as you can reinstall it if
necessary).
