I cannot connect to the internet wirelessly. I show a signal from the
wireless router and can connect with two other laptops.
Error message is "Invalid IP Address". I have entered run command
"ipconfig /release" followed by "ipconfig /renew" ... and "ipconfig /
dnsflush" ..."netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt"... "netsh winsock reset
catalog"
DHCP Client is set to startup type "automatic".
None of this has helped. I'm running Windows XP svc pack 2.
It will be pretty difficult for me to run a cable to check
connectivity via lan wire. Connectivity was fine... but the router
malfunctioned and Verizon sent a new one. My computer recognized the
new router and actually connected (very slowly) for a minute... then
it would no longer allow me to connect. The router still shows up on
available wireless address... just cannot connect via this one
computer.
Here is what the IPCONFIG /ALL screen says:
Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
