Invalid F: drive

Invalid F: drive

At some time when installing things your system configured the CD-ROM as
Drive F: (You probably have installed other drive since that moved the
drive up or down in the list.)
So, That's where installing programs expect the CD-ROM to be.

To fix it, I think you'll have to edit the registry to point to your
real and present CD-ROM drive. A pain; and you have to know what you're
doing.
;-{

Other than doing that, you could go into System->Hardware, and
reconfigure your CD-ROM *as* drive-F: and moving other drive-numbers
around to compensate.
But I don't recommend that.
It would likely cause more problems than it would solve.

You may find some software packages (Microsoft Office?) have
an unhealthy attachment to the drive letter used for the CD
that did the install. Moving the location of the CDROM later,
to another drive letter, may mean chaos ensues. A lot of
software doesn't care where the CDROM drive is, but there are
a few exceptions, and those are the ones you have to watch out
for.

When first assembling a system, I like to lift the optical
drive, to a high letter. Then if I add crap (more hard drives)
to the system later, it isn't likely to "bump the optical out of
place".
