Looking for any ideas. I have a pentium II mb with a via
chipset. The cmos clock is set properly, but when I boot
in windows xp, a message appears that the date is not set.
When you go to set it, the date is jan 1st 1601. If I boot
the same mb with win98, the date is set properly.
Thanks

Hello

Well you can try doing a bios update or changing the battery
and just leave win98 on it and install XP on a more up to date
system.
