Invalid Character Error - Please Help

Hi - I have IE 6 sp1 on win2k. Lately I have been
browsing a lot of sites and the little error icon keeps
apearing at the bottom in the status line. When I click
on it it tells me:

Error: Invalid Character
Code: 0

This is happening on a ton of sites all of the sudden, and
sometimes it prevents the site from working correctly.

Any help??

This is a problem with the javascripts or vbscripts on the
page and should not have anything to do with the browser

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.
