invalid boot init (please help)

i need to edit my boot file, i was using 2 operating
systems while attempting to recover data from blaster
crash. i ended up with xp on 2 drives, separate discs, i
have my operating system on one drive while booting from a
separte hard disc. i need too know what my boot file should
read to boot from disc 1 partition 0 single operating
system and where to go on my computer so i may edit it to
get rid of this invalid boot file and be able to delete the
second operating system.
