Introduction & HELP!

Hi, I'm Si.
Looking for some help / advice on how to sort my PC out.
Being a novice, i managed to delete a blue Crab symbol/ shortcut from my desktop (REALTEK Gigabit and Fast ethernet NIC driver?!), which in hindsight i shouldn't have done!
Anyone able to help me or direct me to someone who can?

If it was on your desktop, then it was, as you said, a shortcut ... you don't need it, the "program" is there somewhere doing it's err, thing.

I do NOT have anything on me desktop, old habit from 95


Realtek need hanging from the nearest tree.

Aye, Mucks is right, find the link to the program in the start menu, right click on that, 'Create Shortcut', cut and paste the newly created Shortcut to your desktop.

I also don't have a single icon on my Vista desktop, not even the recycle bin.

thanks for the info, have tried your suggestions, but it seems i have actually deleted the file, and not just the shortcut. I have tried to use the system recovery tool, but it seems i have left it too long for it to be recovered.

Anymore ideas?!
