I have an intranet site set up at work, and I used to be
able to access it by typing in the address (ie.
http://webpage) but now I can't access it that way. I
have to type in the actual IP Address. How can this be
fixed so I only have to type the address (ie.
http://webpage)? I believe there is a file somewhere
that I can update to associate the typed address with the
IP Address, but I could be wrong.

do a search for the file named hosts - with no file extension. Its in one
of the system folders. hosts.sam is a sample file showing you how to use
hosts
