I have a question about the InTheHand outlook add-in. I am not able to post
a question on the forum of InTheHand.com as it is not allowing to create
new user forum users, hense I am posting it here.

Can the outlook add-in be used to add menu items to the default menu of the
Pocket Outlook. I got an impression that it can only be used to add items
to the context menu which pops up when you keep your stylus on an item.

Peter Foot, please clarify.

Hi, there is a technical issue with the forums which I'm working on,
apologies for the problems encountered.

With regards your query, the current version of the library has the
MenuExtension class which allows you to add items to a variety of places in
the PIM applications (depends on the generation of Windows Mobile in use),
but these include the Card view and List view for each of the Appointments,
Contacts and Tasks applications. These can be used both to capture the
selected item when your app is running and also launch your application, the
model follows a similar approach to the MessageInterceptor class in Mobile
In The Hand and the Windows Mobile 5.0 managed APIs.

Hello Peter Foot [MVP],

Thank you for your reply. I searched your site's forums as well as online
documentation on the site
and it could not come up with any references to the MenuExtension class you
are talking about.

Are you sure:

Is it included in the current library as of today and is available on Handango.com
?

I want to make sure that I will have the capability to add menu extensions
to
the Standard menus as well as to the context menus of PIM applications.
We do not
want to reinvent the wheel if you already got it currently. We would rather
buy your library.

Please confirm.

Thanks

Hi,

I searched the inthehand.com web site also. It did not return any results.
May be it was not documented yet. But atleast I expect a sample to show for
that. May be Peter will answer your question soon.

Regards.
