Sorry for not explaing myself properly. Okay I'm on a site downloading a
song and it is going to my music folder, it's 23% downloaded when my
computer crashes. Where does that 23% go?

Go to control panel, add remove programs, add/remove windows components

and make sure your accessories and utilities are still installed. if they
are there i would uninstal and reinstall and that should bring your volume
control, notepad etc. back.

I'm sorry. I replied to the wrong person . I meant theis for the question below yours. I don't know where my head was yesterday. Have you looked in your temp directory for the files loaded before the download conked out on you.

tried temp folder with no luck, to be honest I think they just evaporate in
to thin air..
