Internet User ID and Passwords for individual site logon

For those sites that require User ID and Passwords and provide for the
computer to retain this information so that when visiting these sites the
system will log you in automatically, where does this information reside
in the computer (Windows XP Pro)? More specifically how can you delete these
entries when a mistake is made?

Those are stored via the VCard process.

Options are to clear them all under IE/Tools/Internet
Options/Content/AutoComplete or try this third party utility:

You can view the values stored for each input field name, delete
incorrect ones, and pre-load the system with additional values.
