internet tools problem

i am running the most current patched, critically updated version of ie 6
and when i try to open the "internet options" from the tools drop down menu
i get a restriction message indicating:

this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this
computer. please contact your system administrator.

this is my personal computer and i haven't restricted myself from anything .
.. . i am the only one who uses this computer . . . i recently installed
spybot search and destroy, thought it might have caused the problem and
uninstalled it but that did not make any difference . . .

please help

SpyBot S&D Immunize function that you ran has selection boxes to disable
Internet Options. You have to re-install SPyBot S&D and uncheck them.
SpyBot S&D is good to have and keep updated.

thanks . . . i appreciate this . . . i like spybot but figured it had
something to do with the problem but just couldn't figure it out . . .
