Internet Time sync disabled

I have a computer running with XP Home SP2. The internet time option is
disabled, grayed out. I have been looking around, but the only answer that I
can find is if the computer is part of a domain, but mine is not. I have a
LAN connection setup.
Any help getting it activated would be welcome, I'm at a loss right now.

I did some more digging. I found that if the following commands are put into
the command prompt, then everything went back to the way it was suppose to be:

W32Time
w32tm /unregister
w32tm /register
net start W32Time
sc query W32Time

I can't find the URL of the article, or I would post it for others to follow.
