Hi all,

Wondering if it's possible to syc - or access other employee's Outlook over
the Internet - i.e. being able to check someone else's calendar and updating
when necessary with new meeting information.

Would anyone know if this is possible and if so how would one do it? I
believe a feature like this is possible with Lotus Notes so I'm guessing
Outlook must have a similar feature.

Any help would be apprecaited.

Thanks!

Theoretically "yes", but ...

To really make this work with outlook you should be using a Microsoft
Exchange server. This probably not possible for your (a hunch).

A possible alternative to Exchange Server is the product called "Public
Outlook" which I've heard from a friend that it works well for small
workgroups (no more knowledge/experience than that).

You can share across the internet a *.PST file, but my understanding is
that only one user at a time can make changes (or even view it? ... I've
not tested this since Outlook 97 so don't know how it works now).

Finally, opening up files on another computer across the internet opens
either or both computers to the risk of hacker attacks via the open
network ports. Do not do this without proper firewall security. You'll
want to get expert advice on this.
