Please be more specific.
Do you mean that it requires ten seconds for the browser program to open, or
that it takes ten seconds for your home page to appear? Either way, I
wouldn't call ten seconds excessive; especially if your home page is
complex. Do you have your connection to 'Always on'? { For example, when I
click to open Internet Explorer to my home page, it takes a bit over 5
seconds to display. Most of that time is waiting for the ISP to respond and
download the page. I use a 3.0 Mbps ADSL connection and a wireless router.
The connection is maintained 'always on' by the ADSL modem. }
Do you mean that it takes your email program ten seconds to open, or that it
takes ten seconds for email headers to appear?
WHAT browser?
WHAT email program?
Enabling the function to scan incoming email for malware will delay display
of the email.
HOW do you connect to the Internet?
WHAT kind of broadband do you have?
Your first source of information should be your ISP.
