would like to know the answer to this question internet sites store data on
your local computer what are you called.

Don't /quite/ know what this has to do with Word, but they are stored in the
folder Temp Internet Files.
 
olutely nothing to do with Word, but I suspect the term you are looking for
is "Cookies"
 
Heavens, that never occurred to me! As it was trivial and from a non-native
English speaker, I just assumed it was an innocent query but you're probably
right.

There was something about the way the question was phrased. It sounded like
it was from a homework or a test question. I hope I'm wrong. (I have a big
problem with students who don't do their own research.)
