internet shortcut windows not maximised

Hi,

anyone know of a fix for this? All my internet shortcuts
and favorites are opening in a reduced window size and i
have to click on the maximise button to maximise them. I
am running WinXP Pro + IE6 sp1. any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window.
